Are you a Fallen Christian?

Down Again is about the fact that you do not become perfect when you become a Christian. As a matter of fact, all of your impurities and imperfections should rise to the top and then scraped away gradually. In most cases that takes a lifetime; if you are living the true Christian experience and not staying the same, going to church just because Mom and Dad did. When you have a true relationship with Jesus Christ you will allow Him to clean you up from the inside out. If you don’t have a true relationship with Christ, you don’t grow. You’re the same person year in and year out. You go to church but as soon as you step outside the door you’re ready to light up: your cigarette or the person who is leaning on your car. Down Again tells how in the growth process of a Christian, or even due to the lack of growth, you have the ability to fall if you are not careful. Proverbs 16:18 says that “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” We think we’re all that, that we know the word, but let the least little mishap rock our little boats and we’re ready to ‘fall’ into the silly little traps that the enemy sets for us. We start to get scared if things aren’t happening in our time frame and we want to do something about it, our way. We turn to religion instead of relationship to avoid hearing from God and doing His will. II Timothy 3:1-7 says “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers… …having a form of godliness, but denying the power there-of: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” I could write a book on just these seven verses. When we become full of pride and religion instead of being full of humility and relationship we become easily drawn out into sin and then we’re left holding the bag, Down Again will help you recover.
