ARE YOU READY TO GO?

It took me a few days to get over the shock of hearing that Michael Jackson had passed. Honestly, the shock hasn't completely worn off. I know it but I can't believe it, especially since it was so sudden. Immediately after hearing that it was true I began to wonder if he was ready. I pray he was. I began to look back at his life and a myriad of thoughts fought for precedence in my mind: He gave so much to society, so much was taken from him, he was so talented, he was a perfectionist, he was so mis-understood...the thoughts went on. He couldn't sleep, he must have been haunted by so many things in his past, his present. We all know that our time in this life is fleeting. We all know that we all will die; but admit it, it hurts more when it's sudden and unexpected and the person had so much more to live for--to give. Things weren't left in a tidy pile: He was practicing for his next tour, he was raising three young children, he was transitioning into the next half of his life. This is why I ask the question: Are you ready to go? We don't know when it will be our time. Even if we're in a hospice we do not know. 'How do I know if I'm ready?' You ask, It's really simple; ask yourself three questions: Did you ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and live in your heart? Did you ask Him to forgive you of your sins? Are you living a life that Jesus Christ would be proud of if he stepped into your life right now? If you can honestly look yourself in the mirror and answer those questions in the affirmative, then you are ready. Once you start building a relationship with Christ, He will direct your path to the right church, the right organizations to get involved with, even the right people to be involved with. He will lead your life. It is a truly phenomenal relationship and it is truly worth it. Are you ready to go?
